Donald joined Goodman Private in 1997 and was initially in charge of building the national operations of the division. His heavy emphasis on establishing strong client relationships remains a driving force behind the Goodman Private investment team. He is a veteran of the investment business, having begun his career in the investment industry in 1984.

Donald's primary client focus is in providing investment management services to business owners, small institutions and multi-employer pension plans. Donald has intimate knowledge of the needs of business owners, having worked exclusively for a wealthy private family in Toronto in the early 1990s. In addition to his portfolio management responsibilities Donald is also part of the Asset Mix Committee for Goodman Private. Prior to joining Goodman Private, he was the National Marketing Manager for a major Canadian brokerage firm's Private Asset Management Group.

Donald has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Manitoba. In 1993, he gained the Certified Investment Manager designation and became a Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute. In 1998 he added the Chartered Financial Analyst designation to his credit.
