We recognize that our business rests on a foundation of trust. Our clients
deserve the utmost in privacy and confidentiality, and they must be assured
that their interests are served above all others.
As professional investment managers, we abide by three sets of rules
aimed at ensuring this trust is met. The first set consists of laws and
regulations adopted by governments. The second set of rules resides in
the Code of Ethics and Standards of Professional Conduct of the Chartered Financial Analyst Institute (CFA ®). The professionals
at Goodman Private adhere wholeheartedly to this professional code.
We go well beyond the standards set by the first two groups by observing
a third set of rules that we codified for our firm in 1997. This internal
Code of Ethics formally ensures that all of our employees understand
and uphold the fiduciary relationship we have with our investor clients.
Our heritage is one of fair and honourable dealing. It is a heritage
that consists of values handed down by our professional predecessors and
we fully intend to hand them on to those who follow.
